Belongingness & Connectedness
Feeling of connectedness and belongingness is the emotional need of human beings to feel that they are important parts of a group or a community, which in turn helps them to develop to a certain degree the awareness and acceptance of the problem of social connectivity. The two are essential for mental health and wellness, as they create the feeling of being valuable and of being happy and stable emotionally through pleasant social experiences.
Acceptance and support from other people is a major advantage of group membership that is often overlooked in mental health. Research indicates that the rates of depression and anxiety among individuals who perceive a strong sense of belonging are significantly lower. To illustrate, being a part of the community or clubs can actually help to create and strengthen social networks, which in turn can contribute to better emotional health.
The connectedness of the organizations can be positively impacted by the open communication, the team collaboration, and the buskers having the culture of inclusivity.ƒ Ex-hypothesis, questionnaires, and, say, leisure activities should be used. The sessions, in turn, help team members to feel more valued, connected to their peers, and thus, increase the overall productivity and morale of the workplace.
A person is able to implant his/her feeling of belonging in the environment through the following typical and effective actions: taking part in social activities, volunteering, or joining clubs that correspond with their interests.
